The new range can be oven-cooked in 15 minutes to provide a meal.

The range consists of four easy to cook, oven ready, fresh seafood dishes, making it?easier to enjoy the health benefits of seafood with little work involved.

The initial four dishes in the new Restaurant Range are:

* Cod Mornay ? fresh, local cod in a three cheese and Dijon mustard sauce;

* Gourmet Seafood ? a medley of seafood, fully prepared in a creamy dill sauce;

* Sticky salmon ? fillets of salmon in a spicy black bean and sweet chilli sauce;

* Thai Pollock ? sustainable fish in an aromatic Thai curry sauce.

Each dish comes in a foil tray which is oven ready and cooks in 15 minutes.

The Northern Irish seafood specialist, based in Belfast, has been supplying both the?restaurant and retail trade throughout Ireland since 1894.

The company also supplies?fresh seafood to residential homes, corporate businesses, the private catering trade and?government bodies.

Having identified a gap in the market for fresh, convenient seafood, the company?s in-house chef was tasked to develop seafood dishes in complimentary sauces.

Elmore Seafoods uses seafood sourced from local ports, like Kilkeel,?County Down.

Managing Director Brian Elmore said:

?Due to the current climate and market trends, we?have diversified and looked for gaps in the market, which has enabled us to grow steadily?during difficult times.

?Our new Restaurant range offers convenient and healthy meals made using locally?sourced produce.

?The range offers meals from ?fridge to oven ready? in just 15 minutes,?suiting increasingly fast lifestyles.

?Market research shows that people enjoy eating seafood and recognise the health?benefits associated with fish. However, they are not always confident when preparing and?cooking it.

?The enthusiasm of retail buyers for such an innovative development showed we are on?the right track and as our initial four dishes have proven so successful we are currently?expanding the range.?

In 2006, Elmore Seafoods moved to a new state of the art, EU regulated processing plant?covering 18,000 square feet, currently the largest processing plant of its kind within the?fish sector in Belfast.

The family-owned and managed company has been processing fish for 119 years, and?the move to the new premises enabled management to combine modern technology with?traditional processing and smoking methods passed down over five generations.
