The Harbour is running a free therapeutic group for people with breast cancer that will start in Spring 2013 and run for a year in central Bristol. People experience breast cancer in different ways: some might feel isolated, others overwhelmed with anxiety and thoughts about the future and it can be hard to talk about it with family and friends.
This group is running with support from Macmillan and will be led by an experienced group facilitator. A therapeutic group such as this can help people to explore that they are not alone and offers an opportunity to explore and undertand feelings in a safe and supportive environment. The group will draw on life experiences as a way of helping people to make sense of what they are facing now.
