A family in Dallas is shaken up after a terrifying home invasion.
It happened Saturday during the early morning hours. Police say three men forced there way inside a home on Reynolds Avenue,
19-year old Maria Herrera hid her two brothers under the covers, as the intruders made their way room to room.
When she thought they had left, she popped her head up from under the blanket, only to be faced with an AK-47.
"The gun was probably three inches away from my head, that's how close it was," she said.
Herrera says her mind went blank, and she kept thinking about her young siblings, ages 2 and 8.
Police say one of the suspects hit Herrera's father with the back of the gun.
The intruders left with purses, money, and even a car.
They also robbed the family of their sense of security.

?Herrera says she has a hard time sleeping, "thinking what if they come back, they know we called the cops, they know the cops were here">
