XinXii Enters Russian Market, Ebook Publishing For Russians ...

Xin Xii, a well known European platform for self publishing and distributing ebooks has just announced their launch into the Russian language market.? They now have a website in Cyrillic (link below) via which Russian authors can publish and distribute their ebooks in the Cyrillic alphabet rather than as was the case up till now in the English alphabet.

Obviously for all Russian writers this is an important step forward in bringing self publishing to Russia as Xin Xii is a serious player in the ebook world, with a list in the tens of thousands of ebooks published and distributed by them.

Xin Xii? describe the advantages of this development in the following terms:

??? launches its Russian version today. Thus the company answers the needs of all Russian-speaking authors who have previously used the self-publishing platform in English. XinXii is the first platform of its kind on the Russian market.

XinXii offers indie authors and self-publishers the opportunity to publish their books on the XinXii?s platform ? they can upload their works of art on a separate author page. Additionally, they can sell their books on the platforms of XinXii?s distribution partners, authors can choose among leading eBook shops worldwide. As an aggregator, XinXii also converts to the ePub format besides the eBook distribution; the two services are offered free of charge.

?Russia is a very interesting market for self-publishing due to its culture and size?, says Dr. Andrea Schober, founder and CEO of XinXii. ?The potential lies not just in the fact that we offer indie authors and self-publishers in Russia an unprecedented access to new opportunities and leading international eBook shops, but also an engine of exciting development. We are glad that we would be able to transfer the increasingly popular and successful model of self-publishing to Russia.?

With XinXii?s entry to the Russian market, we are systematically implementing our goal to promote self-publishing in Europe and support the distribution of quality indie literature. Thus XinXii further expands its position as the leading digital self-publishing and distribution platform in Europe.

Xin Xii have already proven themselves in the general European market, as the only truly European organisation in this field, so their move into the world of Cyrillic writing is obviously a major step forward for a whole army of European writers, not just Russians obviously, but writers from the many European countries who use the Cyrillic alphabet.

Importantly for all these Russian writers, ereaders are very popular in that part of the world, and are selling very well indeed, and in fact, several very good ereader models are actually made in Russia, so this move on the part of Xin Xii is logical, and taps into an existing need rather neatly.
