UFC on FUEL TV 8 Headed To Japan On March 2nd, 2013

It was revealed last week that the UFC would be returning to the land of the rising sun next year, with a 2013 event booked at the Saitama Super Arena for March 2nd. It was unclear whether the show would be PPV or a FOX/FX/FUEL level card, but that has now been cleared up, as the recent edition of UFC Tonight revealed that the show will in fact be UFC on FUEL TV 8.

The one downside for Japanese fans is that they will once again have to rise and shine bright and early, as the event will be held on a Sunday morning to accomodate the PPV audiences in North America.

The last time the UFC went to Japan was on February 26th, 2012. The promotion delivered one of the best cards of the year, as stunning knockouts by Mark Hunt (vs. Cheick Kongo), Anthony Pettis (vs. Joe Lauzon) and Tim Boetsch (vs. Yushin Okami) as well as an epic lightweight title fight between Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar kept Japanese fans thrilled from start to finish.
